Sunday Stream of Baby!
I am beyond pleased to say that the baby has finally arrived.
Elijah Edward arrived 4:01pm on Friday (May 11th). He weighed in at a mighty 6lbs 15oz and is 19.5 inches long. He has a head of dark brown curly hair and dark blue eyes that we imagine will lighten up like his dad’s in no time. We are home, happy, healthy and about 800 kinds of exhausted. I promise to share more soon, but in the meantime, here’s some Eli pictures to hold you over. I know I’m biased, but he’s pretty much the cutest thing I’ve ever seen.

We thought since our baby was awake all the time, he wasn’t tired. THen we created an overtired cranky boy and his mama! His theory is that babies should be fed,changed, played with and back to sleep within 1 1/2 hours from waking. Best friend tip ever was to get this book.

Congratulations! I’ve been checking daily hoping to see an update – hope you had a wonderful first mother’s day. My little guy is 5 months and I cannot believe how quickly time has passed – enjoy every second! Oh yeah, and prepare yourself for non stop peeing – every time the diaper came off for the first 6 weeks or so we’d have a pee rainbow – during that time he hit himself, me, my husband, and one of our 2 dogs

You picked out the best name ever (am I biased because it is my son’s name? Maybe), and you had him on one of the best days ever (am I biased because it is my sister’s birthday? Maybe). I wish you all much happiness.
And my only piece of advice, which is more like a mantra which has kept Mr. Apron and me alive these past 5 months with our twins, is, “It gets better”. Or at least, “This, too, shall pass.”

Congratulations! Beautiful photos! I had to laugh…my daughter just turned 17 and she had the exact same hospital hat that he had in the first photo. Some things never change.
