Sunday Stream of Stuff That Doesn’t Go Together
So last week we stopped by Target to pick up a few things we were out of (cat food. Always out of cat food.) and I grabbed a double pack of deodorant. I’ve been using this expensive stuff, and well, it sucks. So I bought the Dove invisible solid but accidentally in the baby powder smell. And now, pretty much anyone within the zip code can smell me coming about 10 minutes before I get there. It’s the strongest smelling deodorant in the world.
And I have two of them.
I had to take an exercise class this morning as a part of one of my summer school classes (thank God for deodorant…). It was labelled an advanced intermediate course, and dear God, it nearly killed me. After the WARM UP I had to take a break. That’s how out of shape hard the class was. Don’t tell anyone, but I actually almost enjoyed some of the later parts of it. After the overwhelming desire to puke and pass out faded away. I’m vaguely considering getting a membership, but for the beginner classes, because, um yea. My ass is so out of shape.
But check back with me tomorrow. When every muscle in my body hurts, I may totally reconsider the membership.
On Saturday we had our “Spring Preview Day” for the class of students who will be entering our program in the fall. It was a giant festival of awkward. They asked us all kinds of questions, we scared the crap out of them with the amount of work we do, then we took them out drinking. I didn’t go out drinking because a) I’m lame and b) I’m old.
My student loans need to come in post freaking haste.
My cat has these little toy mice filled with catnip that he LOVES. He flips them up into the air and then runs around like a maniac catching them. Well, he did. Until he lost the first one. And then the second one. And so without my husband’s permission knowledge I bought him a new one on Thursday.
And then I found one of the old ones later that evening, of course. I don’t care. The cat is thrilled. That’s all that matters.
Related: I’m going to be such a good parent.
My sister took me to lululemon’s today and bought me a pair of pants (or, as I just spelled it, paints). I may have to live in these pants because they are the most comfortable pants ever. Also? Expensive. Thank God my sister hadn’t gotten me a birthday present yet.
My iPhone cover is really stretched out. I know. Pretty much the worst first world problem ever.
I don’t have to go to school until 1 tomorrow afternoon, which is good because I’m really sleep deprived and am about *this* close to being a weepy mess tonight. I need some sleep and some cake.
Which is great since I baked a ton of cake today. And then left it all at my sister’s for the shower she’s throwing tomorrow. Poetic, that is.

Sleep & cake = Good
New exercise routine? No so good.

I am so with you on the deodorant! That baby powder smell is strong!

I love Dove deodorant. I haven’t tried the baby powder one, though. I usually get the waterlily one.
Speaking of Target and girly things, did you see the summer set with the Venus razor, Olay lotion, and shaving cream on the endcap? I’m now head over feet in love with the Venus Embrace. I even wrote a girls only review on my blog, if you’re interested.

I always knew what post haste meant, but now that I have seen it in print (I’m almost 62…how could I never have seen it in print???), I really get it.
I always thought it was French or something.
This from someone with a 137 IQ. That’s still above average, right?

It makes me happy that my internet cat is happy.
