They are found in patients with neurofibromatosis. I have NF 1 and my eye doctor (MD) is a pediatric eye specialist. I see her because she knows more about NF and the implications in the eye than any other eye doctor in the state of IL. It's a lot better than melanomas. Let me know if you want more info.
