I wonder if the people of New Orleans were as sick of the approach the media took as Elizabeth obviously was - you know, show the world how we have come so far, that we're back, etc. I'm thrilled for the city and hope to visit it someday. But it is nice to see them win (if I pretend that I'm not a Colts fan for a second). I was not impressed with the sob story surrounding it all, though. I mean, what happened in New Orleans because of Katrina was horrible -- no doubt. It's very heartbreaking. But last night's game did not need to be enveloped in the tragedy. To me, just play the damn game! No sob stories! I also wish that people would stop saying, "Fuck the Colts," when I would never say, "Fuck the Saints" if we had won instead. But like I said on Facebook last night, I know who has more class. I’m a Colts fan, so I’m pretty upset. But it is nice to see them win (if I pretend that I’m not a Colts fan for a second). Myself and the four people I watched with were all rooting for them, not because we have any 'real' connection to NO, but because we felt they need all the awesomeness they can get, after the massive crap they went through, and are still going through, post-Katrina.
