I think "now" is the time to set your limits and boundaries with your inlaws. (And the rest of the world, too.) You must take care of yourself in order to function, and sometimes that means putting yourself first. (The same holds true when the kids start arriving, however and whenever they arrive. My mom asked after you, said you were so sweet at the wedding and she was worried about you. We're all praying for/thinking of you. Many hugs. You aren’t hoping for something to be wrong with you. Something -is- wrong with you, or you wouldn’t be in this much pain. Participation is at your discretion, no questions asked; 2. If you think having family around will benefit you, have them over to your home, as long as they bring T'giving dinner and plan to clean up afterwards; 3. If the in-laws don't understand your illness, perhaps you should not plan on spending time with them this holiday. Seriously, are you supposed to prop yourself up and pretend nothing is wrong, or minimize your health crisis to keep "the family happy?" You need full frontal unconditional love right now.
