If you’re going through hell…

catch a cold/virus/life-sucking germ, and then keep on going.

Because the only thing less bearable than being 3 weeks behind in school with a 13 week old headache, is being 3 weeks behind in school with a 13 week headache, the worst sore throat of your life and a fever.

WOE IS ME.

(Yes, I’m going to get swabbed for strep at the health center tomorrow. The big white spots on the back of my throat are clamoring to be stabbed with a giant q-tip gag test.)

(I may or may not be going to my morning class first…)

(I may or may not be a total moron. And I may or may not be aware of this.)

May I humbly suggest going to the health food store and getting some Manuka Honey with a UMF of at least 10? The UMF is important (NOT active, bio-active, factors, etc…).

I would suggest taking a spoonful at least 3x a day while you are sick.

It is pricey but it is incredible!

I hope you feel better soon.

Coming out of lurkdom to say I feel your pain. My son brings home lots of fun new germs now that he’s in preschool. Guess who catches them all?

I hope you feel better in the strep/sore throat/ailment from Hell department. That is the last thing you need right now. Ugh.

Wow – when it rains it pours, huh? :-(

For your sore throat, try Traditional Medicinals Organic Throat Coat. I SWEAR by this stuff – it tastes kind of gross, but it’s warm and comforting and actually makes a sore throat feel MUCH better.

Feel better soon.

I could deliver some of my famous chicken soup and matzo balls.

It’s good for what ails you.

Welcome! I'm Katie, a 26 year old, newly-ish wed, full time graduate student who just happened to have brain surgery in November of 2007 to give my ginormous brain a little more space. This blog chronicles my daily life, not just the headaches and neurology stuff, but life as a doctor's wife, as a retired teacher and as the magnet to all kinds of crazy events. Sit down, get yourself something to drink and stay for a while. (And check out the FAQs. It'll save you some serious archive digging.)
